I was recently shown a program that is a long range shooting simulation, and training aid. It lets you practice mil-dot ranging, judging wind, thinking in MOA, etc. And gives you pointers on how to do better. I think I'm really going to like it when the weather turns cold out here on the plains. I'll get my shooting fix without freezing. There are a few out there, but the one I got is from Shooter ready. They have a neat free trial version on their website, so you can try it before you decide to buy it. Anybody else tried this?

I saw it at a shooting "clinic" I went to. I grew up in the sticks, compensating for drop with "Kentuky windage". The simulation has been a big help with learning the formulas for drop and windage.

Yep own the original and the new version. Great training tool. The absolute cheapest way to train someone on how to people how to use mils/moa dots to adjust for range and wind.
