got a revolver that has been in the family a long time,cousin passed away,looks never shot has spesco corp. and a falcon head,made in brasil, forjas taurus s.a on barrell.pearl grips and a four inch barrell,the trigger and hammer has case hardening,beutiful blueing,i am assuming a early taurus,it is nicer then my 851 rossie i had ,no tool marks,wish i could post pics,because i was told it was realy old.maybe i can get my daughter to help me.

Seems like I have heard that name back in the 60s but don't remember anything about it. I wish you could post pics too.

If my creaky old memory can be trusted Specso was more of a marketing firm than a gun manufacturer. I can recall seeing Spesco stamped on firearms that were built in W. Germany, Italy, Brazil, etc.. Again, my memory is a little fuzzy but it seems like Spesco used to market Taurus and/or Rossi built guns in the U.S. before those companies made their own names here.

yeah i found a little more information,digging around net,seems spesco was the first importer.it is identical to a model 10 we compared it to,but it is built as good as my dads 66 taurus from the 90"s,blueing is nicer.i have tried pics before,see if my daughter will help me,shes home from college a few more days.

I have one of those I bought from a local feller for $200. Seems like a nice gun and well made, but the sights kinda suck, I can't hit diddly with it. Perhaps I just need to sit down with it and get used to it. I think it's a 4" barrel, wish I could put a 6" on it.

well i posted over in the taurusarmed forum,someone put up a stainless or chrome plated with pearl grips just identical to mine,except mines blued.going to auction,ive been trying to transfer that picture over here,my computer will not let me do it.i sent it somewhere.anyway i have a picture of mine on camera just waiting for my youngun to load it,when she wakes up..
