I just tried Hogue and Pearce wrap-around grips with finger grooves on my Para 12-45 and 14-45. Although both sets of grips fit well and looked fine, I have concluded that the finger grooves do not justify the extra girth around the grip, since I have medium sized hands. These are fat grips to begin with and the original Para grip panels are about as thin as possible. For me at least, the original grips provide a better hold on the gun. I do note that the Pearce grips are slightly narrower than the Hogues. I have similar Hogue grips on my Ruger 89 and 90 and think they are a big improvment for these particular models. If anyone wants to buy these new Hogue and Pearce grips, please contact me. I can sell them cheaper than you can get them from, for example, Cheaper Than Dirt.

The original grips and backstrap/frontstrap grooves are fine on my P14-45. I have never considered changing them. I have large hands and the idea of even fatter grips bothers me. Sometimes you mess with success. ;)
