NFA firearm moving states question

I'm sorry if this has been asked repeatedly before, I couldn't find it.
I currently live in Nevada, a pretty gun friendly state. There is a good chance that two years from now I will have to move to another state. I won't know which state, but it could very likely be somewhere like California, or back east--a much less NFA friendly state.
If I were to get an SBR or suppressed (or both) weapon while here in Nevada, what would I do while I was living in that other state? I don't have any family that live in Nevada that I could put on a trust and leave it with them. I would ideally come back to Nevada, but I would be gone for anywhere from 3-7 years.
So, what is the protocol in that situation. I assume I couldn't take it with me to a state like California, so what would I do in that situation. If I did happen to move to an NFA friendly state, like Arizona, what is the protocol for taking an NFA weapon there?
Thanks for the help.

Certain Title 2 firearms (DD/MG/SBR/SBS) require BATFE approval prior to transporting them acrosss state lines.
(use the Form 2320.20 ( http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-5320-20.pdf) in order to get approval to transport it temporarily or permanently across state lines)
BATFE NFA branch has stated in the past that a person who ownes a Title 2 firearm in a NFA friendly state and moves to a non-NFA friendly state, that the owner can store the Title 2 firearm in a NFA friendly state while they reside in the non-NFA friendly state.
The Title 2 firearm has to be stored in such a way that the owner is the only person who can access it.
Examples... in a safety deposit box at a bank or in a gun safe in which the owner retains the combo/key & no one else has the combo/key to the gun safe.

Thanks for posting this, I was wondering where to get this form (I saw the "written approval" part on the form 4 when I was filling it out but no reference to this, IIRC)... I was going to ask my dealer upon approval.
Glad to see, too, that this doesn't apply to suppressors... I had an interesting conversation with someone at the range where I work about a suppressor that a customer (from another state) had... I mentioned this "written approval" stuff regarding interstate transport and he had never heard of it and apparently didn't want to hear of it.

BATFE approval is not required for transporting AOW and NS across state lines.
However, you should check the legality of the AOW/NS in the state you are going to, in order to make sure it is legal in that state.

"NS"? That is a new abbreviation to me.

NS = Noise Suppressor.
Seen the abbreviation being used about.
