The poll shows that 10,243,320 votes have been cast, with 97% affirming the individuals right to bear arms. So that's good.

The trouble is that, as long as I'm reading the link correctly, it shows that the link is from 2007.

I think that poll is from Nov. 2007, just before Heller'08 was decided by the Supreme Court.

It only took 4 and a quarter years to rack up 10 million votes? ;)

I don't know whether it was intentional, but it's a trick question.

The correct answer is NO. The 2nd Amendment doesn't grant RKBA. It recognizes it as a right and guarantees it...but doesn't grant it.

Privileges are granted, and privileges can be revoked or denied at whim. Rights can't. A driver's license or a building permit is a privilege.

A YES vote on the poll is a de facto admission and acceptance that the 2nd Amendment...along with all other articles in the BOR...is a privilege granted by the government, and what the government giveth, the government can taketh away...with a majority of one.

If the 2nd Amendment were to be repealed tomorrow, our right to keep and bear arms wouldn't disappear. It would only mean that the Constitution no longer protected it.

We got lucky with DC vs Heller. We may not be that lucky next time...and there will be a next time. If they can repeal one right with a vote, they can repeal all of them.
