Hi all I currently use 800-x in my hunting rounds for both calibers. I don't like weighing each round. I am looking for a good metering powder that can be used for both calibers. If needed what would be your opinion for max potential from each caliber. Thanks for your help. P.S. yes I have load books and have searched the web as well as here. I like the feedback I get here.

IMO HS-6 or Longshot will do a very good job with both those calibers. W296/H110 will deliver top velocity in the .357 Magnum but that powder isn't suitable in the 10mm. HS-6 will meter like water and Longshot isn't bad either.

I am using Blue Bot on my 10mm and like it. Sierra publish's a good 180gr hunting load for 10mm and it works great. The Lyman pistol and revolver 3rd edition has several recipes for .357 but I haven't tryed any.

I use AA9 for both calibers. Metering is a non-issue. I have been very happy with it.

I also recommend AA9.

My favorite .357 load is 9 gr. of AA#5 with a 158 gr. hard cast flat point. Meters like water. AA also lists this powder for 10MM but I have no experience with it.

I agree with Mx & GJ, AA #9 is a great powder for 357mag and 10mm.

I don't own a 10mm. I use AA#7 for a lot of cartridges now. The burn rate is very similar to Blue Dot. It meters well, and burns clean. It's my favorite 357 mag, and 40 S&W powder.

If you want full house magnum for the .357 H110/296 is the powder to use. Do not reduce the charges below minimum published data and use magnum primers for those two powders as well!

I don't load for the 10mm, but for .40 S&W I really like Longshot for excellent full powered loads.
