hello all.
does anyone know anything about the smith and weston 9-mil compact that is green on the handle w/a grip safety, like that found on 1911.

Unless they've come out with something new, the closest thing I can think of is the M&P Compact. But it is neither green nor has a grip safety. You can get them with an optional thumb safety.

Maybe you mean the Springfield XD-M that seems to be able to have an OD-green frame on google, comes in 9mm compact but also 40S&W and has a grip safety?

EDIT: I see now on the Springfield site that some do indeed come with OD-green frame.

Sounds like you want the Springfield XD lineup though.
