I would like a recommendation from you guys on where to purchase a flat top upper for my AR. I'm looking for the stripped upper only and would like to keep it as inexpensive as possible.
My goal is to replace the existing carry handle upper with a flat top for optic use. The gun is an Olympic from the ban era so I don't want to put a lot of money in this.
Also, anyone know someone in Northwest Missouri that would be able to do the work? I don't have the tools and am hesitant to try it myself.
Thanks for all of your opinions.

Just about the cheapest that you are going to find without purchasing a used one.
Just a plain stripped upper receiver.
Not assembled but comes with all the parts needed for it to be assembled.

you can buy a whole new upper half for 250 if you don't want to mess with tools.

Check out Karri's Guns....
Aero Precision uppers - great quality and the price is really hard to beat.

I bought one for a recent build from a company called range tool. It is milspec quality and everything was what I expected. $61 for stripped M4 uppers and $57 for A3 uppers.
