It's a great, accurate, reliable shooter. I love mine. AFAIK, 9x18mak vs .38 special is a toss-up. There's some +p loads out there for it too. For $400 you could get a CZ82 & 1000 rounds of ammo. nyrifleman January 30, 2012, 05:16 PM If you're looking at a CZ82, I'd consider a Makarov. Small, all-steel, good trigger on the ones I've handled and best of all: stupid reliable. I've never had a single failure of any sort, though I've had failures with both the Ruger LCP and Kel-Tec P11 that people are suggesting. 9x18 is weaker than 9mm Luger, but more powerful than .38 special or .380 ACP My Mak is my daily carry Andrew Wyatt January 30, 2012, 05:31 PM Glock 19.
