Cleaning a shipment of brass I just received and found this stretched .270 round. Possibly shot in a 7mm Mag as the brass is stretched to about the same diameter. Can't believe this round didn't split.

Years back one of my boys managed to chamber up a .270 win in a 7 mag. and it didn't come out looking anything like that. It actually came out in many pieces, and required a lot of time and cleaning to get all the shredded brass removed from the nooks and cranny's of the bolt face and surrounding area.
But that .270 round was a compressed charge IMR-4350 load. I'm betting that one you have was loaded really light for it to have come out in one piece?

Seems like a 270 inserted into a 7rm would be so far in the chamber that the firing pin wouldn't reach the primer.

Another thing is the shoulder is not blown out. This cartridge had to fit pretty tight from shoulder to bolt face, whatever it was fired in.

Edit: .270 Glock ??? :D

Just take a ball peen hammer and lay it on the cement and tap it lightly to get in back into shape where it looks like it should......

Then tap it harder and harder until it looks like a train ran over it, so as to make sure it never gets used again. LOL

A shooting bud chambered a 270 in his M70 controlled feed. The round was rolling around on the bench and he did not notice the difference.

The case head blew, busted his stock, probably did some other damage. The action and barrel were usable.
