it should, brown bear, silver bear, golden tiger, tulammo, it's pretty much all the same, make sure it's newer production so you don't get the lacquer coated stuff

I know you've probably heard this but you are better off to use brass ammo in an ar. It doesn't dirty up the chamber as much

I don't think My S&W M&P 15 has shot anything but steel cased ammo. No issues with either the lacquer, polymer, or zinc plated steel cased ammo.

Tula is the worst you can get basically

Look for WPA Military Classic
Brown or Silver Bear

use www.gun-deals.com/ammo to find best prices online

DONT BUY TULA AT WALMART. WPA or Brown bear are better quality and cheaper online, even with shipping

I wouldnt buy a ton of any Russian ammo without trying some first.
Some people just have problems with it, even in quality rifles.
I shoot Brown bear and have never had 1 issue.

I highly recommend Blackhills reloads, a little more expensive but well worth it. Never a concern about reliability and as accurate as you can buy.

I have shoot a lot of steel. Hornady steel match is great. Wolf works just fine a little dirty. The Tula is ok, but it is very inaccurate and very dirty. The Brown bear is bad stuff, keyholes. I will not shoot any of the brown bear.

Wideners is out of stock on this and may never get more.

Right now there is not as big a price difference between steel-cased imports and bulk brass ammo. Steel has come up some, and bulk brass down.

But I bought a bunch of Silver Bear a while back and had no problem from a couple rifles, although those were 20". Silver Bear feels much softer than standard 223 ammo, especially noticeable when mixed in a mag. I checked close zeroes and it was ok for shooting paper targets at matches at close distances, but I do not remember the exact zero differences.

lmccrock Guess I am glad I got some when I could. Yea I have avoided any steel as long as I can. I know the IMI55 is a good quality ammo and have shot some wolf gold 75gr match just to see how well it works. Good stuff but price is up some. Also when the ar223 was 5 bucks and change at wally world I bought a bunch of that. Guess I covered for ammo for a some time atleast. I only live 25 miles from widners and a couple hours from PSA so do tend to watch there prices ,Just not the invetory levels apparently. HA.

I have a M&P 15OR and have had no problems with 55gr FMJ, 62gr HP, and 62gr SP - all Silver Bear. Ditto for Monarch 55gr FMJ.

The 62gr silver bear clocked in at 2903 fps for 1160 ft-lbs which is pretty respectable. Not quite as hot as NATO 62gr SS109/XM855 2990fps) but this is 223 ammo so that is to be expected.

It did seem to have a slight shift in point of impact, both a bit lower and to the right about 3/4" at 70 yards. I still shoot some on occasion.

If you can get it for $4-$4.50/box then good, otherwise the $6 American Eagle by Federal at Walmart is a best buy for your $$$. Brass case, made in USA.

I use them in my Colt AR15 all of the time & never any problems.? just a good cleaning as usual does the trick.?
