Im looking at putting together another Arizona THR get together at the end of the month. Saturday 28 Feb to be exact.

Some questions:

Who's interested?

Where should we have it? (We did have one in Dec in Mesa)

Is there somewhere between Tucson and Phoenix?

Best range we have here to hold a decent group is the range out at 3 Points off HWY 86 about 20 miles East of Tucson.

Unless we have a shoot somewhere in the desert but targets will be an issue then.

Entertaining any and all suggestions. Let get the ball rolling and have a good time.

I'd prefer it be located in the general area of the southeastern Valley, since that's where I am, but I'd probably be willing to travel somewhat if need be.

Where in Mesa was the December one?

Responded to Lennyjoe in another thread, but if it's at 3 Points, I'm in. Phoenix area? That would depend on when, and exactly where. February would be better for me, though early March could work. By mid-March though I don't want to be too far from home in case my wife goes into labor a little bit early. With it being a good 2-3 hour drive from most Phoenix area locations back to my house I'd be reluctant to be away during her last couple weeks before the due date. Yea, yea I know, except for a world record short labor, I'd be fine for time, but it's our first, and I'm a little paranoid about anything going wrong.

Pima Pistol Club up by Catalina is closer to Phoenix than any of the other ranges around Tucson. Lots of Phoenix people come there for matches. Unfortunately that weekend (28th & 29th) they're having a big USPSA/IPSC shoot at Pima. It might work for some other Saturday afternoon (they have matches every Sunday).

So far its looking like a Saturday. Feb 28 or March 6th. Chime in on whats best.

If a ride is a problem, then I have a Dodge Grand Caravan that can fit 7 and quite a few guns and ammo. Would be more than happy to carpool up there if need be.

We can adjust time for us late night workers on Friday.

March 6 will only work for me if it's in the afternoon. I have a prior commitment that morning.

Edited to add: Feb 28 would be MUCH better for me. Come to think of it, March 6 would probably not work because I would not be able to go directly from my morning commitment to the range, and going home first would add too much time.
