Lately ive been hearing the rumor, "sigs quality control has gone to hell since they stopped stamping slides in germany." I have a standard sig P226 manufactured in 2010 or at least thats what is date is on the outside of the box.

Is sigs quality really gone downhill? Is my 2010 gun lower quality than the older guns?

How do you perceive the quality of your pistol's manufacture?

my gun looks and feels great. I cant afford to shoot as much as i would like. purchased it over thanksgiving and only put 100 rounds through it. I hear they frame had issue and several were cracking after 4000-5000 rounds. I hear a gun that is well taken care of should last 50,000 rounds. So how do the newer sigs hold up after a couple thousand rounds?

please if anyone has experience with a sig 2010 or newer that has shot 2000 rounds or more let me know how the gun wears and if there is anything your concerned about.

I have put over 2500 rounds through my P226 9mm, which was made in 2010. It runs flawlessly. Except for a little holster wear, it looks and runs fine. My father carried one in law enforcement for almost 20 years and put over 5000 rounds through his with no problem.

Just bought a p220 about 2 weeks ago. Put about 250 rounds, with no ftf or fte, using wally world wwb. Accuracy is top notch. They did say out of the box accuracy is the best, but I had to fiddle with mine to get it right on. No big. Just a little allen wrench that comes with the kit.
