** Please read before looking ** ** Very sorry about how big the image is **.

[SIZE="3"]I never had a gun or anything; and I just wanted to know if this gun is real, fake or if it is a air soft or something like that. Never had a gun and I got this gun for like 40 bucks. (not joking on the price), don't worry about the price though... I just want to identify this gun. Hopefully you can identify it with just this picture.

No one can see your picture. You'll have to find a way to upload it or host it somewhere and link to it.

A photo down the muzzle would clear up quite a bit here.

Well, it certainly appears to be a real, re-blued GI .45 ACP 1911A1.

Could have been made by one several different makers.

But you need some better photos.
And you need to post the serial # and any other markings it still has on it.

Now, the part I don't understand is:
You say you bought the gun for $40 bucks, and apparently have it in your possession to take a photo of it?
And you don't know if it is a real gun or not????

That right there is pretty hard to fathom.

^^^^+ a bunch what RC said,...and.....

For 40 bucks,...my guess would be a non-firing replica maybe??? More pics,....markings...

My guess is, it is real all right.
And it is hotter then a cast-iron wood stove in Nome Alaska.

lol I got this from the streets, from a friend, there's no "non" firing replicas on the streets
and yes 40 dollars.

Sounds like you have someone else's property, regardless of if you paid for it or not.

Yes it's real. How could you not tell?

You might not want to be posting stuff like that on the internet. For 40 bucks, that gun is either stolen(most likely), or extremely unsafe.

What is that in the barrel? It looks like either a .22, a bb gun or an air soft gun. We need clear pictures of the marking on the pistol to tell you what it is.

Wow, as I suspected.

You have an airsoft gun. Probably a KWA gas-blow back 1911A1 with an alloy frame. Not a bad deal.

Now on to the details of your acquisition. You seem shady. You bought something from someone on the street with almost no idea what it even was. More amazingly, you couldn't even tell given close access to the thing if it fired live ammo or not.

My recommendation? Throw it in the nearest river, because real or not, you probably shoudn't have it.

My recommendation isn't as polite as RevolvingGarbage's, but it follows about the same logic.

Ok, enough. We know it isn't a real 1911A1, or a real firearm. Therefore, it is outside the scope of this forum.
