I was just getting into reloading, and was wondering where I could get the cheapest .308 diameter (for .30-06) bullets, or what brand they were. I am looking specifically for about 150-180 grain weight, but I am also planning to reload some lighter stuff later.

I am not too concerned about accuracy at the moment, but I would like to get some good ammo loaded up later, but not for a while, so this is just fun ammo.

there is a company called poly gun bag's they deal in pulled bullets and other accessorys ,looks like they have some 308 magnetic core bullets right now but they might be able to fax you when they get more in ,unless you can shoot tracers at your range .
i bought 2000 from them a while back and they were just fine !

Thanks for all of the replies, I just got back from out of town, and saw these.
Do you know how those FMJs that you put in the first link group, rc? I know I said that it was just for fun, but if I can get accurate or high quality bullets for cheap, I might as well get some for accuracy as well....
Everything that has a steel core is illegal here, to my knowledge. It is classified as "evil" because.... well, I don't know why.... .30-06 seems to penetrate fine with lead....

Anyway, thanks for all of the links everybody.

okay, thanks for the idea, but I really wanted to load up some hot loads, and some (not hot ones) for the milsurps in my life. Those don't really tend to do well at high velocities, and in a semi auto, they don't feed the best, and just as a side note, I really hate having a sixteenth of an inch of lead on the inside of a bore after an extended range session :D

One other thing, it really isn't $19.95 for those bullets, I still need to buy a heater...
