I have observed a pretty clean example, short barrel, matching numbers, that can be bought for $600 or so. It seems in good shape.

I know there are versions which are longer barreled (the price goes up by the square of the barrel length, correct?:) )

The round and pistol is of course best used for plinking and small game, any experience or opinions?

Seems I can get one of these WAAAYYYYY cheaper than a .30 cal BHP or 1911! The few Rugers sold in the 9mm/.30 cal "convertible" I haven't seen an example of in years. Pistol choices are of course limited in the PRK.

I shot a .30 Luger years ago and was surprised as to how much fun it was. Remington ammo shot very flat and was very accurate. In a gun with real sights and a decent trigger pull it could be one of the pest plinking and small game calibers.

They're really old? ;)

I would really love to own an a Luger someday. Just to admire the craftmanship.
