Anyone heard of the 12 gauge Mitigator?

It's a suppressor for shotguns (http://www.americanspecialtyammo.com/Suppressors.html). I understand they can be with great difficulty so the price of 800 for it is kinda surprising to me. Makes me think it's made of aluminum and will just easily get torn up if shot is used. Thoughts?

I read a magazine article that gave a very favorable review of one the Red Jacket 12 gauge cans even with buckshot. It is only designed to be used on a shorty saiga 12 though.

I saw the episode where they built and tested the Saiga suppressor- they got it down to around 68 or 70dB IIRC. Pretty crazy.

I think I may now have a reason to buy a shotgun!

Be careful about those dB numbers. Watch how they get their readings and you'll notice it's nothing like how the guys at SilencerCo do it (which seems much more precise/scientific). For me it's hard to gauge just how much noise reduction they're actually getting.

Very interesting. I've seen suppressors for the .410-bore, but not this one. Thanks for the link.
