30 Days to Stop the NRA!

Over the last several months we've been keeping you up to date on what the
NRA has been up to. Now it's time to ask for your help.

We have 30 days to prepare for a showdown with the NRA. In 30 days, the
gun dealer where the D.C. snipers got their rifle will get away with arming
killers -- unless we stop it. If we let the NRA and the Republican Senate
win on this issue, we only have ourselves to blame.

The week of March 3rd the Senate is scheduled to vote on a bill giving
unprecedented special legal protections to gun makers and dealers. This
blanket of immunity would cover even the notorious Bull's Eye Shooter
Supply, which armed the snipers and countless others. If this NRA-written
bill gets approved, the families of sniper victims would have their cases
against Bull's Eye thrown out of court. What a farce.

This bill is a referendum on Bull's Eye. Senators voting yes on this bill
are voting to give Bull's Eye immunity. Senators voting no on this bill
are voting to hold Bull's Eye accountable for its negligence and misconduct.

That's probably not as farfetched as you think. Relatives of persons killed in crashes of small airplanes have gotten piles of money out of the manufacturers, even when the crashes were clearly due to pilot error. I gotta believe that it's only a matter of time before the auto makers are facing similar suits. Consider also the cases where lifelong smokers (or their relatives) have gotten money from tobacco growers.

Lawsuits against manufacturers of private
aircraft (Cessna, Piper, etc.) virtually bankrupted,
and ruined the General Aviation industry.
Today, a 110HP, 105 MPH 2 place (seats) Cessna 152
based on 50 year old technology/tooling
is approaching the $100K price and MOST of it
is due to 'product liability'.
Even today, if some child cuts himself (or herself)
on some corroded hulk of a Beech T18 in the middle
of a field, Beech WILL be sued.
The manufacturer is ultimately responsible for the
airframe FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!

The ONLY reason this hasn't been tried against
car maufacturers YET is that the manufacturers are
still rich enough to make too expensive to try but
give the bottom feeders time and they will be
suing anyone they can for anything they can.
As I heard someone say once, if this continues,
in a few years all ANYONE will be doing is selling
insurance because no one will manufacture ANYTHING
due to product liability.

They're listing everyone who signed up to "protest" on an internet site, their total numbers in the Brady Bunch and the Coupla Commie Chicks - as being 175,000.

They are nowhere anywhere that close to numbers who'd give one darned tootin'.
