Idea: another reactive targets idea

The other thread about biodegradble reactive targets got me thinking. This is what I don't like about reactive targets, or any targets for that matter. After 10 or so shots, their is just too many holes to see the last shot. What about disapearing ink? Once your shot exposes the ink to air, it will start to disapear. When your target starts to have a bunch of shots on it, the last shot will be the only one that is seen, because all the other shots would have "disapeared".

Uhmmm...."disappearing ink" doesn't work like that.

If you use a sheer dirt cliff as a backstop cheap spray paint makes a great reactive target. Just spray 3-4" spots on the wall and shoot them. There is no question if you hit one as it dissapears. If you are close you can see exactly where. There is no trash to clean up. no target frames, no staple guns, no problems with wind and only one can to have to carry to and from the range.

Are you talking paper targets?

What's the difference between ink disappearing and the paper disappearing from the round?

I was thinking about those shoot and see targets. after you shoot it awhile, all you see is a peppered yellow target. If the yellow would disapear after a few seconds, the next shot will be the only one with color

Thought so. Properly, I don't think those are reactive targets but maybe you have something there. I've always hated those things.. if you want to make bigger holes in paper, use SWC/WC's or go bigger. You're not supposed to focus on the target anyway.. love paper, hate those things.
