Does anyone know of any good scopes, preferably 1-4 power, for under $150? I've heard some about Simmons and Burris, but wanted outside opinions.

Optics are 90% or better on accuracy. Don't buy cheap **** save your money and invest in your weapon.

Buy a nice scope that has a lifetime...not a cheaply with minimal warranty...think about if a scope breaks or crosshair comes loose u gotta buy another scope...if u have a Nikon or Burris or Weaver or luepold..it's replaced free...check out natchezss.com...should be able to find a good one at a good price...just bought a Weaver extreme high power for 300 bucks off beat everyone else's priccess in most cases

Nitrex TR1 closeout at Natchezss. It's a 1.5-4.5X32 or something like that. Do some research on the web, it's a rebadged Weaver Grand Slam.

Second choice is a Burris 2-7.

haxby has good advice. also, take a look at the primary arms 1-4x. I hear it's decent.

OK, thanks for the suggestions. I'm also looking into some of the Vortex red dots, look to be some really nice optics. Any opinions on those?

Anyone know why I should pay an extra $100 for a Buckmaster?
I've reviewed the specs and can't see a big difference.

I was told by a Nikon sells Rep that the difference in price comes from the clearness of the glass...that Burris Nikon Zeiss Bushnell etc all have good quality Scopes that the clearer the glass and what its coated in is the biggest price diff. That ziess is so expensive because of the clearness and coating ...the 100 difference is who has the better glass and coating...Nikon is prolly better in my opinion but wether its worth it ..is up to u..go to a gun store and try them out...see the difference...then go Google shopping or ensuing for the best price..Natchez has consistently been cheaper for me..as cheap if not cheaper than what u pay on eBay...just my 2 cents

I stopped by Dick's sporting goods today. They had the Nikon 2-7x32 on sale for $79! Regular $139. Needless to say I bought another one. Don't know how long the sale lasts (sorry). Better hurry!

For that price what the heck? It's worth a try! I don't think you will find anything cheaper.

you have to be a little careful with 2-7x32's. often they are shotgun scopes and you can wind up with a weird reticle or 50yd paralax if you're not careful.

I have always believed that the old saying that you get what you pay for is very true. Last year I picked up a used NcStar scope, came home with it mounted and had a minor issue with it. It came with the box and papers so I sent an email to NcStar asking about getting it repaired. I was informed that it had a life time warranty and just send it to them. Took about two weeks and I received a newer and much better model than the one I sent in. That in itself was a positive in respect to the company but the scope is actually very clear and does the job I wanted.

150 bucks will buy you a nice used Leupold 4x.

I own this Weaver 1-3x, and I couldn't be happier for the price.

Not a 1-4x, but the price was right. Since I also use 3X magnifiers with my EOTechs, this feels very familiar.

With the coupon below, you're at $169.09. I just bought another, for a future build.
