I disassembled the bolt on my 1894CB for cleaning and oiling. Stupid is as stupid does...I can not figure out how to position the firing pin spring in relation to the 2 piece firing pin.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Numerich Gun Parts Corporation site www.gunpartscorp.com/ They will list a schematic for your rifle. S.R.

Hi, Alan,

Are you talking about the little flat spring? If so, the bent end fits into a slot in the top of the rear firing pin and holds it down until the locking block pushes the pin up. That way, the rifle won't fire unless the bolt is locked.
