I was wondering if anyone had any consistant load info for a .204. I have been using 25.5 gr of H335 with a 40 grain v-max and having some decent results but looking for other loads that people have been having luck with.

I got my best results with 27.5 grs of Varget and a 40 gr Berger. It turns about 3600 out of my Savage 12's 25" barrel.Best 5 shot groups are in the .3 range.I went as high as 29 grs, velocity was a tick over 3900 fps,but the groups opened up to about an inch.I've tried several other powders, but none did as good as Varget, both for accuracy and velocity.I have noticed that a good cleaning after 20 shots or so helps keep the groups small, but even when pretty dirty,it shoots well under MOA with this load.HTH

I like a 32 V-max with H322 and so do my rifle. I had to work on action bedding to get the best out of it tho...jus sayin

I've had excellent results with 26.5 gr H4895 and a 39 gr Sierra or 40 gr V Max. Half inch five shot groups out of my CZ 527. I've also shot some Varget but don't remember the charge right off hand.

I had one on an Encore. The thing with factory ammo and 32 grain pills was a laser beam.
I could never duplicate the factory 32 grain ballistics. This was about 3 years ago.
But I have since learned that you can get 4000+ FPS mark with 32 grain pills and some Vitavouri loads. I have not tried it.
To me, that 4000 FPS load is absolute magic.

32 VMAX or 35 Berger HP and 29.5 BLC-2. Works great.

This is my load with which I've dispatched a crow at 311 yards, a deer at 252 yards, multiple groundhogs, some raccoons and a coyote.
