Choosing the right carry handle

I'm building a basic 16" with no frills for a change. Initially I couldn't find an upper with an integrated carry handle so this is where my challenge begins. Why is there such a price disparity with the carry handles? Aside from the material (or name brand) what else determines the price?

Some folks will tell you the cheap ones are junk, I have a $20ish UTG that has been rock solid. YMMV

The lower priced options are fine if you just want one to stick on a rifle and zero. The higher priced versions will do better if you are interested in repeatabilty and consistency when using the rear sight to adjust for range. Coatings will also vary from painted finishes to milspec anodizing.

I won't say the utg ones are junk but mine certainly was not milyspec as the sight channel was not cut square. My utg 4x scope fit loosely and had slop back and forth. A bit of gorilla tape as a shim solved the problem, but I would not expect that from say dpms or stag.
