I'm glad to see Emily getting great exposure to the masses and portraying guns in a positive light to women, especially in D.C.

I have been following her four month quest since it started late last year. It highlighted some of obstacles that DC city government had put in place to frustrate potential buyers hoping that they'll give up obtaining a legal firearm. I am glad that she was finally able to purchase. It cost her about $450.00 in fees, countless hours of her time PLUS the cost of the SINGLE firearm. It is just a small victory as the streets of DC have the crime and there is no DC concealed carry whatsoever.

Those were some excellent sound bites from Emily -- I wish they could have allotted her a little more time, because it sounded like she wanted to go more into the weeds on how D.C. is fostering gun restrictions through nuisance policies, even in the wake of the SCOTUS decision.

And maybe it's a minor point, but I also thought that was an unfortunate moment by Dan Briggs at the very end, interjecting that he didn't want to see Alisyn Camerota with a gun, when Emily suggested that Alisyn join her as a fellow woman firearm owner. I know Briggs simply meant it in jest, but it sort of took a bit away from the whole theme of the segment, regarding the empowering of women to get into personal defense.

Heard the interview with her on NRA news with Cam and Co., good interview. She couldn't even get ammo for her Sig yet...

Now that's some great media exposure. I thought it was very well presented. I've also heard her on Cam's show. Emily also does a great job explaining and promoting guns and self protection.

Very cool. She did a nice job. It is good to see women promoting the legal use of handguns for self defense.

It shouldn't be this difficult to buy a legal handgun in DC.

Second that.

Let's hope this story and great reporter helps things change for the better and brings sanity back to DC. One step at a time.

Kept meaning to follow this whole story but never seemed to get around to it. Glad she pulled through :)

More indirect gun restrictions (really harsh laws restricting ammo possession) from our nations capitol. An article just came out yesterday (Monday, 27th Feb) by Ms. Miller. Quoting from her article in the link below. "In Washington, D.C., it is illegal to posses ammunition if you donít have a gun registered. It is also unlawful to have ammo that is not in the same caliber or gauge as your legal gun ... ". Hmm, I wonder if a DC resident can legally shoot 38 special rounds from their 357 magnum w/o permission from city hall?

As I've said before, and I'll say it again, I love this woman.

I don't know her political affiliation, but even if she is a _______ I respect her open mind tremendously.

She did a good job and deserves a lot of credit. Hopefully, her story will get wide circulation and stir action to repeal the nuisance laws.

I wonder if a lot of women and younger people are jumping in wondering what the big deal is and why legislators and cities are so quick to restrict our right.
