My gal bought me a really nice red dot sight for my birthday and the only problem is its the narrower 3/8 dovetail and what I want to put it on has the wider dovetail. My question is, is there an adapter I can get to make this work?

Find out where she got it, and exchange it for one just like it with the correct mounts. OR-That will give you a good excuse to buy a gun to fit it!

Anything you do to convert a .22RF 3/8" clamp to a Weaver rail will raise the sight Way higher then you want it to be to look through it properly.

Exchange it, sell it and buy the right model, or buy a .22 it will fit.
