I still live in MA, and I still really want a H&K 26.5mm flaregun. Is it legal for me to have this and a few boxes of signal flares shipped to my house?? I mean, MA law says no complete ammunition is to be shipped here, etc, but this is a signal device. Any input?

When dealing with MA bureaucrats (like NJ, CA, IL and other bureaucrats), remember the Three Rules:

1. The bureaucrats are always right, and you are always wrong.

2. The bureaucrats' interpretation of firearms laws is always the most restrictive possible, and overrides your Constitutional rights.

3. When you state that the bureaucrats are wrong on point (2), they will inevitably and invariably remind you of point (1).

Hope this helps...

So... do it and don't get caught? :D Gotcha.

EDIT: More accurately, since it truly is a signal pistol and not a firearm, it's okay to get. Hey, 12 ga flare pistols and 12 ga flares are legal to ship in, why not this?

Heck, you can pick up flare guns at any Marine Supply store (West Marine, etc). Pick one up and see if it has any MA legalese on the packaging.

Well, I can actually buy 12 ga. flareguns in stores in MA, but the issue is shipping them. Thanks all the same for the idea, though.
