I can't read most of the information on the wooden create but here goes.
It has 7,9 mm y-49 on the wood box and a whole bunch of other backward letters.
On each of the individual paper boxes it has: 7,9 mm METAK nny 7901 and whole bunch of other backwards letters.
On each end of the brass it says: nny 1978
Each primer has red paint around them to seal the primer.
I was going to just recycle the brass until I saw the date on it.
So, what is the verdict?

Might be... The privi partisan markings are nny (actually it's not 'n' the greek letter pi). The way I always check is to shine a light down into the brass and look for two holes. If its got two flash holes its berdan.

Yup, Shine a light down into the case. If you see two holes, Then its Berdan.
If it has only one only, then its Boxer primed.
Both are reloadable, But the Berdan takes a bit of work before you can reload it.

Unless its damaged it IS reloadable.
As above, 2 flashholes mean Berdan, which IS reloadable, a bit more involved than reloading boxer, but still loadable

And the verdict is Berdan.
Thanks for your help.

If its 8mm Mauser ammo you can easily make 8mm cases from 30-06.

Unless I had information otherwise I would assume it's corrosive and would clean my weapon accordingly.
