I double posted and tried to delete the second post but couldn't. I used the edit/delete button but couldn't figure out how to delete it so I just removed the text and posted a question on how to delete a duplicate post. What is the proceedure for deleting a dup post?

If you happen to double post (it happens to all of us), just do exactly what you did, but the single word "delete" is sufficient. When a moderator sees the post, he or she will delete it for you.
