I scoped my 995 and hit a squirrel in the next state!

:) Seriously I live on the NC /VA border and it might have been a +/- 50 yd shot.

Neat rifle. Replaced it with an even neater Ruger PC 9 carbine, a real tack driver.

I haven't shot mine past 60 yards. It was ok. If I had a, scope on it I would be more accurate. It just had a red dot. When I was younger and had better eyes, I had a 995 and I was deadly accurate with the irons on it. Everybody that shoots mine wants to buy one.

Most of my target shooting with my 995 carbine is betwen 75 and 100 yards. It is reasonably accurate (around 4-5 MOA) with the red dot scope I have on it. I have never had an extraction or chambering problem with the rifle. I wish the magazine had a larger capacity.

Shot mine for the first time today. I liked it a lot! My brother, his fiance, his 7yo, and my 10yo all liked it as well. I spent a lot of my shooting time refilling mags for the younguns. 80 rounds without a hiccup. :D

I'm going to keep an eye out for another.

Mines gone 1400+ rounds in the past year (4595) with one FTF. I've been testing loads for it. I can't consider mine accurate, best I've done so far is 1-1/2-2 inches at 25 yards.. Reliable yes, accurate no. I do recommend it to anyone who needs an inexpensive HD weapon.

My daughter really like it.

What's everyone using for sights. I have a scope on it now while I'm load testing, but I'm tempted to go with a red dot later.

4095ts. and matching 40 JCP. Best shot (Ts) is a Doe 80 yards out through heavy brush. However I broke my firing pin once, at round 1000 something w/o cleaning ( I know;the point was to stress it). I had the part and back in action in less than 4 days. I truly think High Point is an under rated firearm. I think this summer I will be doing a paint job on them. I just don't know what yet either camo or bling. And I am working on a custom built flash-suppressor.

I have had a 4095 for about 1 month, only a few hiccups and that was with my cast bullet reloads. I sighted it in at 50 yards and a session afterwards was shooting another rifle at 100 yds so I put up a IPSC target and figured if I aimed for the head it would drop into center mass, but I was wrong, I head shot it 4 of 10 times free hand not on bench with open sights and the misses were high or left/right. I then proceeded to dump a few mags center mass and was amazed. I was a sceptic, but now a satisfied one. Was looking for a Kel-Tec sub 2000, but not anymore!! Plus the best part is it is made in the U.S.A.

I enjoy mine thoroughly. Got a cheapo red dot on it. It does surprisingly well at 50 yards with FMJs. I'm tempted to start reloading for it...

So I dropped a Mag today, and it became a Jam Factory...:( So I called the factory And they said just send it back and they will send a new one. Sweet.

I have the 995 and the one and only one issue that that does not really becomes any real issue is the mags will be a little difficult in removing. I recently bought a 15 rd mag for it and have not tried it out yet but doubt seriously any problems will come from it. I bought mine at a pawn shop when the owner was complaining about buying it. I offered him $100 dollars and he said he would take $125.00. I took it and have been looking for another since.

Mine has about 1000 rounds through it and no FTF/FTE or any other issues with it. I had a Bushnell 1.5-4.5x32 Banner on it but it was not terribly accurate so I switched to a red dot I tried on a pistol and didn't like and it works good. Certainly good enough for HD and milk jugs.

995 w/ Bushnell banner 1.5-4.5x32mm, weaver rings. With Winchester Pdx 124gr +p, took a coyote at 60 yards. Shoots 3 MOA. Not bad for a boat anchor, and one I wouldn't trade for a Sub2k or Chinese tea.:)

Sold mine last year. Had it scoped, zeroed to 100 yards. I could hit a 9" paper plate at that range, but nothing near MOA.

I have the 995TS, and it shoots really well, I've shot over 1000+ rounds without a hiccup. BTW I've got a ProMag 15 round Magazine also and it shoots just as well as the 10 rounders. I've got the front grip on mine and a cheap Bariska Reflex scope and it held a 2.75" group at 50 yards using the hood of my truck for a rest (note that's 10 rounds)168967

The wife and I both have a 4095 for plinking. Just the factory iron sights. I'll run them out there 100 yards, without a lot of accuracy, but we can hit the paper. No bench shooting or anything. I'd say we've got 6 or 7 hundred rounds through them. Not one problem. for no more than they cost, it's a great little gun.

Mine shoots every kind of FMJ ammo that I can stuff in it w/o any problems, but it hates the cheap Remington JHP 115gr ammo that I picked up at Wal-mart the last time I was there. It fails to feed on exactly round 7 or 8 out of EVERY magazine when I use that ammo. Irritating, but all that I have to do to clear it is rack the bolt and it chambers the stuck round fine..... weird. Anyone else have the same or a simular problem with their carbine?

Below is my 995 in a painted ATI stock I got used off a local forum last year. It was lacking a front sight and a certain screw and has a pointless shroud on barrel end though it "looks balanced" I guess. It was possibly the best deal I've come across personally. For the cost, I like it. I will say comb height on the stock is perfect for cheek weld with the cheap PA red dot. I can't compare differences to any original stock though.

I may take it to another Appleseed for some carbine fun on one of the ranges that does not allow center-fire except in pistol caliber. It's happily eaten all reloads and steel ammo I fed it. I don't take it out real often. I will vouch for HP customer service as it came with an extra broken magazine missing parts and I sent them in and they sent me a replace magazine.

Had one sold it 2 months ago 1100 round flawless operation. But as dirt as a H&K 91.
