Considering a Fast Fire III for my Glock 17L. Seems choices are available for dot size, 3,4 and 8. The larger size seems to large, currently using Aimpoint Micro Red dot with a 4 dot size. Would think that the 8 would cover most paper targets.

Comment and experience please.

8 minute should be OK for Steel Challenge and maybe USPSA Open. For bullseye I'd want a smaller dot though.

8 moa only subtends 2 inches at 25 yards. How far are you shooting.

I use a 4 moa fastfire II on a Glock and a Remington 870.

I also have a couple RMR's because I like the adjustment dials much betters than the FF2.

Now with the new fastfire III, it's the best of both worlds.

Does anyone know if the FF3 will fit the FF2 mounts?

Are the screws in the exact same place?

Shocked at price of RMR sights $575. Makes waiting on Fast fire III <$250 worth while. Have a Aimpoint R-1, which has a ten year warrenty. Looking forward to comparing over the next few months, the Fastfire III . RMR and Aimpoint micro red dot.

According to this video from the shot show the old mounts will work on the III.
