Many readers/posters here would recommend that you not take a posted load for any gun.
However, take the suggested load(s) and verify them ahgainst the powder makers website. Hodgdon (IMR) and Alliant have wonderful data on their sites. Im sure other po makers do also. I have not needed others so I dont check them.

For mild yet effective practice and field loads, I use the Hodgdon youth loads posted on their web site.

here's some 7mm-08 loads I've worked up that are MOA out of my Wx Vanguard carbine, 20 inch barrel. All come out of RP brass & CCI 200 primers:
120 grain Sierra SP
45.5 gr H380
Crony @ 2797
.704 5 shot Pattern
130 Speer BT
41 gr 4064
crony @ 2796
.822 5 shot pattern
140 Factory Fusions
Crony @ 2802
1.14 5 shot pattern
"Mild" is relative. Very little difference between the 08 and .243 in my estimation but, I'm not sensitive to recoil.

You didn't mention any particulars, so I have given you the Trailboss load listed at www.hodgdon.com, and recoil will be extremely low, but accuracy will be on you.
