I have not shot this gun for a while and I need some supplies - sabots, caps, etc.

What size caps are used for an old Thompson cap gun - circa 1990?

+1 for arcticap but I've changed mine over to use musket caps.

Is it a Traditional BP rifle ? If so, ditto #11 caps. If not, probably #209 shotgun shell primer.
What's the barrel twist rate ? You need to know if it shoots round ball or conical ball. If round ball you need .490 or .495 balls dependent on what patches you use...
I'd recommend FFFg powder rather than FFg. If using a round ball, 50 grains FFFg is a good starting load.
Surprisingly BP is a bit more involved than modern rifle.

Its a traditional WHite Mountian Thopson carbine with a short barrel. I bought it new +20 years ago and it was designed as a round ball rifle...

I have been shooting conicals with HP pistal bullets for several years as they are more accurate and are now allowed for hunting in NY.

#11 percussion caps sounds familiar..

The .45 & .54 cal White Mountain Carbines had 21" 1:48 barrels, while the .50 cal had a 21" 1:38 barrel. They can shoot either round balls or short conicals very well. The short barrel limits loads to probably 70 gr or less, but it's a great gun out to 75 yards. My notes show CCI #11 caps.

My T/C Hawken uses #11s. I switched over to Musket Caps so I could shoot Pyrodex pellets. It didn't work.

I've always used RWS 1075s on my Tryon Rifle.
