Hi Folks,

Feel free to join in!

100 yards... I left the frame stating the distance out of the vid accidentally. Iron sights only, prone, unrested. Your weak arm can be the monopod, as is traditionally taught. Sling support is allowed. Handloads and such are allowed. Modified front sights are fine, whether they're mine or something you made with shrink tube etc. Just no 'scopes or peep sights!

Count me in! Do you want all 20 shots and the walk up to the target on an uncut video?

Hello,

Yes, please. No editing. Not that I think that anyone will cheat, but I want to keep any accusations at bay.

I'll grab the frame still and measure the groups with software I have on the computer.

Thanks!

Josh

I just shot a 32 Tula in the first local highpower match of the year. We only have a 200 yd range so we shoot the reduced 300 and 600 yard targets. I wont say what my score was, but I had a ton of fun... especially since I had a sticky stripper clip in the rapid prone and only had 45 sec to get all 10 downrange...

Sweet, any tips for accurately measuring 100yds at a gravel pit? Might have to get a range finder one of these days.

Hello,

I'm not going to be extremely strict on the range, +/- a couple yards is fine.

Try using a GPS and Google Earth. That will get you within a couple yards, depending on the quality of your GPS. If nothing else, a friend, a tape measure, and 300 feet will do ya'!

Josh

I measured it out on google earth, and have landmarks all mapped out and how far from each would put me at 100yds +/- a few feet. I am seriously looking forward to filming :D

How do you want the target printed off? Letter or landscape?

Hello,

It doesn't make any difference, but landscape would likely be best for you.

The .PDF should automatically print correctly, so the whole page is taken up.

Josh

Well, I did my first recording yesterday, and it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I've got to hold a bit higher with this surplus I'm shooting. Will probably go out again tomorrow or this weekend and try again.

Hold higher? Dang. Usually they shoot LOW!

I shoot with my bayonet on. If I take it off, it shoots way high. I might actually have to use the elevation adjustments for once! :what:

Unfortunately my roommate dropped my bayonet out of a window 8 stories up and it bent a bit. I tried to bend it back, but it still seems to shoot differently now. Gonna have to slug my other bayonet and see if it works out.

Alright, I never managed to get out a second time for some filming. I went out a few times since the first filming, but forgot a camera each time. So I'll have to enter my "holding too low" entry, can I send you a PM tomorrow with it? I still have to get the actual video from my friend who videotaped it. Thanks!

Hello,

Just post it on YouTube when you get it, as a vid response. I can grab a still and throw it on some software. Not a bit deal!

Regards,

Josh
