Found what appears to be a .380 casing, but with a 9mm headstamp, it reads S&B (strange symbol) 9mmBr.c.
It still has the Sellier & Bellot red primer as you can see in the picture.
Left is a Winchester 9mm case for comparison.

Headstamp is kinda strange, I believe it to be 7.62x54R I can see three numbers throughout, says "3 11 48" Not particularly in that order, just one every 1/3 of the headstamp.
Any idea what this is? :)

S&B (strange symbol) 9mmBr.c. I picked up some of those at the range a few days ago.

The rifle round is a 7.62x54R as you thought. I see ALOT at my local shooting club, always someone shooting a Mosin. Don't know the make, sorry.

The others are correct on the 380.

I had some 7.62X54 that was from Yugoslavia that was packed in a rectangular tin with 330 rounds of brass cased ammo sporting an identical head stamp. Used to be able to buy it from Century Arms for $25 a tin.:)

Interesting about the .380. I originally thought someone trimmed down some .380 but the S&B primer stuff (what is that anyway, wax?) made me think otherwise.

The 7.62x54R isn't magnetic, but I'm unsure if it's a berdan primer. Any way to find out for sure short of depriming it?

Just shine a flashlight down it. If there's one single flash hole in the center, its Boxer. If there's two offset holes, its Berdan.

Yup, there's lots of ways to denote 380s. 9x17, 9mmK, 9mmBrC, etc.

And that x54R case is almost positively berdan primed, there's only a few that are not and they are recognized headstamps like Prvi or Winchester.

I think the x54r might be albanian.

I had a tin of Albanian stuff. Worked well, non-magnetic, brass cased, and 'sealed' around the primer and case mouth by some blind ADD victim because the seal was very rarely actually around the primer or case mouth. Pretty stiff brass, dimples around the shoulder, but it shot nicely.
