I got two of the S&W M10 round butt revolvers from Buds'. The bluing is worn but they are in good shape. I got the firswt one about one months ago and the second last week. I changed the grips on them, since they were really worn.

Anyone who loves the traditionally made pre-lock revolvers has a last chance here.

what are the grips with the finger grooves on the revolver on the left? BTW nice looking pair. I am trying to get a mate for my 3" model 10-5 but not having any luck at finding one in California. I hate the safe gun roster.

Those are classic, classy wheelguns, for sure. :)

Thanks for the compliments, I love K frame revolvers and particularly the fixed sight version.
I don't think Buds is offering any hand-picked option, the guns were $269 shipped (plus Transfer) and from what I learned on arf.com is that the RB are sold out now but SB is still available.
The grips with the fingergrooves are S&W factory fingergrooved combat grips (FGC), I used to buy them at gunshows for $5 but now they are collectibles that cost over $100.

269 delivered?! Holy cow, how'd I miss this?

They still have the square butts. The guns have bluing wear and the grips are really worn but they are tight and both haven't been shot a lot.

This is what it looked like when it arrived:

Be still, my heart. Are these C&R eligible?

No, they aren't C&R eligible. Both are 10-10 and the Heavy Barrels are not being manufactured long enough, so you have to pay transfer.

Ah, gotcha. Still a darn fine deal.

Yes, I think in today' s market this is still okay. I wouldn' t have paid over $100 about 20 years ago but then I paid also just $5 for an ounce of silver and gas was about $ 1 per gallon.

I actually had a K frame round butt shortage, with only a M19 in 2 1/2 inches, I had to find hosts for some extra Nill grips that I got in a drawer since a couple of years. They will go on after I have rust blued the guns.

Not from Bud's but an ex-police Model 10-6. You can't go wrong with a Model 10.

I've been tempted on those Bud 10's, but I'm old S&W revolver heavy right now.

Oh, heck. Maybe I'll buy one anyway :)

J&G Sales still has some stainless model 64s, DAO, in stock - both RB and SB configuration.

I ordered my RB Saturday. Looking forward to it's arrival later this week.

Hey Jim,

what does that mean "old S&W revolver heavy"? It surely is no burden to weigh one down and they make great gifts! One is for my older son, my other son is more into "modern" firearms and carry guns.

He made better photos for me, here with service grips:

Quoheleth,

get the camera ready for arrival of the gun:D.
