This may have been asked and answered elsewhere, but I've been trying to find the information online with little success, including searching the history on this site.
Is there any real, mechanical difference between the current U22 Neos and the U22 Neos Inox models? I know the DLX model (no longer in production) had an adjustable trigger.
If the only difference between the current U22 Neos and U22 Neos Inox models is the color of the slide, I don't understand the price difference.
edit to update: it appears that the slide finish really is the only difference, per http://berettausa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/379

As I understand it, Inox isn't really a 'finish,' it is Beretta's way of saying "Stainess Steel." (http://berettausa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/639/kw/what%20is%20inox)
Stainless guns usually cost more than their blued steel counterparts, and I tend to favor the Stainless versions, so I end up paying the premium.

I'd like for someone to compare the Beretta Neos vs the old High Standard Duramatic.
The gun the Neos was based from......some might say copied.

Inox is short for acciaio inox which, as F-111 John pointed out, is shortened from inossidabile. That in turn comes from the French acier inoxydable, meaning stainless steel. It makes more sense when you think of rust as oxidation. Rust is iron oxide, things that can form oxides are oxidable. The opposite would be inoxidable, but that is rarely used in English, but is common in the romance languages to refer to stainless steel.

Might as well make it a three way test with the Colt .22 that came after the High Standard but before the Neos.
