The gold & silver means some of the silver plating has rubbed off to expose the brass underneath.

A good 1/4" - 3/8" was taken off the bottom of these grips before the edges were rounded. I've done this to a few pairs of grips myslef in years past before they became so dang expensive. Comfortable and looks right on a 4" gun.

I have to admit the look great on the 38 but they are just a bit to large for my hands....I going to think about selling them and finding some stock grips.161394

Those are custom grips handmade from the same high tech composite material that Wonder Woman's invisible plane is made from.

They're the latest Glock grips.
Not only invisible to airport x-ray machines, but also render the entire firearm invisible to the naked eye.

They´re for that transparent ceramic glock that you can get through TSA detectors.

Tip: always put a red ribbon through the triggerguard .. it´s hard to find it wqithout it.

S&W target grips from the 1970's and from the hammer I would say they are on a 1950's S&W.

The cut down part is from the factory; it allows the empty cartridges to be ejected without interference from the grips.

Those are S&W Target stocks with the speed loader cut out that have been shortened by about 1/4 inch. The picture below is what they should look like.

The coarse checkering makes me think they are replacement grips from SILE Inc.
SILE also used plain brass medallions. HTH

Onmilo says..."The coarse checkering makes me think they are replacement grips from SILE Inc.

Well Salmoneye is for sure right about one thing...From the serial No. the pistol is a 38 pre model 10 made in early 1956....He Id the gun so I'm going to go with the grip. But what about what smith357 said in reply #31...he seems pretty sure...Mike...There is another thread that shows another close up view of these grips Off the gun that may help...This site will not let me load that photo here because its already been done on another thread...It's not hard to find...Mike
