Diopter Sights

Anyone use these? Are they worth the expense? Since I'm not on the sunny side of 50 anymore I have a lot of trouble seeing much past 200 yards. I have a problem justifying spending more on optics than I did for the rifle, but the K31 I'd like to install them on is such a nice rifle. I honestly don't know much about them or what I can expect from them. Any insights would be appreciated.

Play around with a Merit iris before you spend bigger bucks to find out.
Some of the old guys on my AMU pistol team 40 years ago were out-shooting us young bucks using the stick-on Merit iris on their shooting glasses

Maybe I should punch about a 1/16th hole in a piece of tape and stick that on my glasses. That should prove a cost effective test lol.

It sure will do the same thing.
Except it is not adjustable to your vision & lighting conditions like the Merit Iris or diopter sight.
And I thought maybe you didn't want that unsightly black tape glue stuff stuck to your $450 bifocals you can't get off?
I have enough trouble keeping the eye-brow hair oil off mine more then a hour per cleaning! :D

I do & he does.
But then they stick straight out like cactus needles and still still rub on my glasses!!

I have a K31 with diopter sights installed and yes they are worth it. We use them for shooting bullseye targets at 300m. They tighten groups up considerably compared to open sights.

I saw where a New Zealand company is starting to manufacture these for the K31, but I'm not sure what their price point will be yet. Hopefully it will be more affordable than a Swiss set. I may pick up one of the elcheapo stick-ons from Midway just to see what it's like.
RC, I know exactly what you're talking about. The grey ones are even worse, they will almost push your glasses off your face.
