Gun Friendliness of Florida?

I am looking at a possible relocation to the Lake Mary, Florida area or possibly a little farther north.

Everything I'm reading online suggests that Florida is very firearms-friendly (CCW, NFA OK, etc.). I have a business associate there that tells me that this is the case.

Anyway, just to check, can anyone confirm or deny this? Any possible wrinkles?

Thanx. :)

The only things Florida doesn't have are open carry or "no permit" carry laws. Other than that, everything else is good.

You can open carry if you are hunting fishing or camping....But other then those times, CC is the way to go. I love living here, never have felt like gun ownership was a pain or hassle.
