These bullets are harder to find than gold, I have been looking for two weeks and everyone is sold out, What do they do at speer? It seems like they don't make many bullets. I sure wish I could find some 200gr. 451 HP too reload.

Many bullet manufacturer's will actually have scheduled runs to reduce the frequesncy of re-calibrating the tooling. And once a run is finished, the priority delivery goes to the big boys, LE sources, military, and others who have a promised and contracted delivery. And if anything is left of the particular run, the remaining inventory will go to common retail warehouse distributors, Sports South would be one example of such distrubutors.

ATK/Speer got a fourteen million dollar contract with the French police in 2009 to supply all their 9mm ammo over a four year time span.

After that, Speer bullets for reloading seem to have taking a back seat and are often out of stock everywhere.

I really try to stick with what I'm used to shooting. But if I had to put up with not being able to find that brand I'd chose someone else.

Speer has never really been popular and I've only used their bullets once in 34 years.

I see that the French police got a chance to test those Gold Dots recently....

hanleyfan, I have a full box of Speer 260 grain hollow point .451 if that will do you any good. I paid $15.97 for them. There Speer #4481. Also, you could try Weidners. I was looking for some Speer 25 caliber 120 grain bullets the other day and found them at Weidners. I bought their entire stock. BW

The Deep Curl's are getting a bunch of chatter on other reloading forums I frequent. They're supposed to be easy to get to shoot and picture perfect mushrooms.

Heavy crimp marks, but a good price if you need that many.
For now, I just want enough for some load testing with a new-to-me powder.

You can order as little as 250 through 500 and 1000. The ones I got , you can see the pull marks, but I don't think the flaw is bad enough to adversely effect performance. If you left click on the photo it will show an expanded bullet.
