this is the first knife off my new grinder. nice little rig from jose navarro. i know that this name is probably way too overused, but it just fits this design so well. this one is from W2 tool steel and is 8" long. the scales are scalloped black micarta with steel pins. finish is a striped acid etch pattern. i want to keep this one, but i want to keep them all. the mrs. frowns on that around here.

The name fits. I like it a lot. I notice you've done a double curve with the bottom side of the handle this time, instead of the single sweep you usually use. Very nice.

No notch huh? :) Just like giving you a hard time.

Beautiful work man! That just looks to comfortable to hold. The grip looks perfect to me.

it is a very comfy fit. even reverse grip feels great. i am digging this style right now. aside from my japanese styled knives, this is my go to style and shape. i skinned and boned out so many deer this past season, i really got a feel for what works and what don't. my father in law has one of my models that has helped me butcher several deer and hasn't been sharpened yet. it won't shave now, but it is still sharp. he was much like me many years ago. he had no idea what a good steel was capable of. i cannot abide most factory fodder these days. i am about to get back into some D2 as well. that is a whole different heat treat, but when done right, it is a monster.

when you get some D2 work done id like to see some pics if you could. thats one of my favorites for a REAL tough blade.
