This isn't so much a hate thread. I've handled Glocks, shot them, and don't like them. However, I am interested in one for a couple of reasons. First - parts and mags and holsters are everywhere. Second, I could drop it, scuff it, and not cry or care. Third, I want a 10mm that I can afford, as well as change easily into a .40 or a 9x25 or a .357 with a drop-in barrel etc... Fourth - bigger magazine capacity.
However, there are things I just loathe about them. I hate the "safety", I hate how stiff and flat the slide release is, and the mag release isnt too friendly either. The sights also aren't the finest.
So, who here has fixed some of this stuff? Can you get an extended slide release? Is there a way to modify the gun to get rid of the trigger "safety" and install something more normal?

A lot of what you just stated were taken care of on the Gen 4s. The mag release is pretty awesome on the gen 4. Its pretty cheap to tweak a glock. The Gen 4s also offer the different back straps if you want to mess with it a little. If you are military, law enforcement, EMS etc you can use the glock LE program. I use it all the time, which is why I have so many glocks. They're really cheap then.

Let's see ... eight Glocks, nine Rugers, three Brownings, a pair of Berettas, a trio of Smiths, several Colts, one USA model of 1911 and so on and so forth. I even own one Llama.
I like 'em all, I use 'em all, they all work well and they all have good and bad points. But I adjust ... no biggie.
