I want to start a new thread, but I lack creativity. Help me choose from these options.

I did a search and did not find any threads on these topics.

You've never seen a thread on 9mm vs. .45 ACP? Man, you need to look around a bit more. People have been arguing that on this and many other forums since the invention of the internet.

You should start a thread about how a .22lr slug will rattle around inside of the body like a quisinart deathray.

If I use enough shortening, can I convert 9x19's into 9mm Makarov? Hmm, maybe this would be a good thread?

For example...not to brag....but on another forum I wrote up a brief history and overview of the Modern Savage .22 calibre Stevens Favorite replica rifles. There are four models that were made from 1971 to the present. So, point is, do you have some favorite subjects you can share knowledge with us others who might become more enlightened?

You left out my choice.

You should totally start a thread on the best HP-HE ammo choice for your new Barrett light -duty so you have the right gear when the SHTF, so that you can double-tap the zombies through cars.

Or , a thread on small primer 45 ACP.

Gotta be a 0401 joke otherwise there would be options for the rabid fanboys/pooh pitchers of both Glock and Taurus.

I think a good thread would be a discussion of the benefits of always keeping your firearms stored in cosmoline.

I think a good thread would be about the superiority of Tula primers, especially when they are seated to just flush.

How about a thread on super accurate mosin nagants or how glocks never malfunction or how if 45ACP hits a man's finger he will get sent flying backwards.

I don't know but I found it interesting that a company in the South ships a bungload of chopsticks to China. True story.

I admit there were some good ones that I missed. 870 Vs 500, the tragic boating accident. Here's one more that I remembered - How many of X can I load from a pound of Y powder?

I just threw it together this morning because I was inspired by this: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2012/04/powder-kernel-uniforming-for-ultimate-long-range-accuracy/

Now, THIS is an April Fools gag.

We should start a thread/petition urging firearms accesory manufacturers to make bolt on picatinny rails for the bayonets of Mosin-Nagants and SKSs.

Alternatively, we could discuss using empty firearms as hand to hand weapons and share techniques.

I can't tell if you are serious, but we all (90%) got the joke; if are serious, this is dense. ^^ :neener:

FWIW, I still think a mountable picatinny rail for Mosin bayonets is a great idea... ;)

@ Fishslayer, that is classic 338 Lapua to the back, we all know two trauma plates ducked taped together provide the best protection;)

April 2, 2012, 03:08 PM
Which is the most important scenario for which one must be prepared?
Bear attack vs
Zombie apocalypse vs
SHTF vs
Armed intruder set on a running multi reload gun battle with sleeping occupant.

Sub poll: What is best for all of the above?
A. Shotgun (Slug or Shot?)
B. Max cap plastic gun (Caliber younger than the average poster or classic round?)
C. Revolver (Magnum or Special?)
D. Anything but a Taurus
E. Nothing but a Glock
F. None of the above
G. All of the above
H. Both C & E
I. A, F & G
