Otto April 4, 2012, 12:22 AM It's FREE for Amazon Prime members...and if you don't have a Kindle you can view it on your PC by downloading the Kindle app http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kcp_pc_mkt_lnd?docId=1000426311 Mike 27 April 4, 2012, 12:31 AM I just checked my kids nook and it is .99 on there as well from b&n. bds April 4, 2012, 01:05 AM +1 on Amazon Prime / Kindle for reading free from the "owner's lending library" - https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=lp_mem_help?ie=UTF8&nodeId=200757120 smbaas April 4, 2012, 11:03 PM Thank you. Lincoln4 April 5, 2012, 12:07 AM Thanks, downloaded!:) David Wile April 5, 2012, 12:42 AM Hey Storm, Thanks for starting the thread. As soon as I read your post, I downloaded the book from Amazon. Then I returned to the thread and read the rest of the thread and noticed Mike said it was also available from Barnes & Noble. Why did I not read the whole thread first? I have a Nook Color with an N2A card that allows it to use both Nook and Kindle reader applications. I like the Nook reader application better than the Kindle reader application, so if I have a choice, I buy the Nook version instead of the Kindle. I already downloaded the Kindle version for $.99, but when I saw Mike's post, I also bought the Nook version. Can't complain about the price. Thanks again. Best wishes, Dave Wile dickttx April 5, 2012, 08:42 AM Thanks for the notice. It motivated me to call in and get my Kindle reset. Had forgotten my password. Got it downloaded too. Mike 27 April 5, 2012, 09:20 AM I am not the smartest on these things, but the boy has a nook so I stole it from him and looked. I went ahead and downloaded it. Guess I need my 12 year old to show me how to use it now lol.... SlamFire1 April 5, 2012, 05:48 PM I have one copy from the 70's. I will still have it when Kindle's join 8 track tapes and VHS on the ash heap of history. Which will probably be 24 months from now. Kevin Rohrer April 5, 2012, 06:12 PM $.99 is what the 9th edition is worth. If earlier editions are available as Kindle dloads, they are the better purchase. Elkins45 April 5, 2012, 06:14 PM Thanks. I downloaded it. I wish I could find a copy of the first edition by Dean Grinnell. My HS library had a copy and I kept it checked out so long the librarian made me return it so somebody else could read it! It was the book that made me a reloader.
