Swear I would be able to find a thread on this one.... guess not.

Whats the cheapest you have found 45acp 230gr FMJ in the last three months ?

And where did you find them ? :p

Yes, I know the XTP are good. :D I have no problem with them.

The HAP are awesome, I know ....and .....they cost less....than the XTP ! I know. I know.;)

RMRBullets has some 230 Gr FMJ in right now @ $145 per 1k or 250 @ $50.00
Then you have TJ Conevera and there X-Treme Plated bullets.
Or Berry's bullets and Rainer's. You can give those a try if you like.

Precision Delta has them at 130 per thousand, which I think you have to order 2k of them. I've shot 6k of them and have had good luck with em. Still have about 4k left to load. I've just been shooting lead pretty much since buying from Missouri Bullet company. I have shot Montana Gold 9mm projectiles and really like them, I dont know what their price is but if I recall correctily on 230 grain they were not as good on price.

I think PD has the cheapest true fmj, if you buy 2k of them. They get mixed reports of not being very consistant on the ogive, however. It has kept me from buying.

Edit: I think I will try some Bayou coated soon, supposedly no smoke. I can't swing MG for my next buy...

PD's are a little cheaper per piece, but they are backordered.

145 plus ship for 1000 isn't bad, and is cheaper than the encores available at wideners. Would depend on the ship cost..... but I don't think shipping is going to be $35  ( $273/1500- free ship ) edit : Guess shipping is free, that makes it harder to beat !

Anyone else got any opinions ?

Plated or lead don't count for this "exercise".

Zero bullets from www.Rozedist.com are under $130 with free shipping, but out of stock for 230RN, unless you're interested in an order for 2K of their 230gr JHP for a total of $265.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that anything on RMR is free shipping because it is included in the price. I have ordered several times from him and has been spot on with what he shows.
Also ordered from Berry's and have had good results with them. Just be carefl not to crimp to hard on plated bullets because you can damage the plating.
