Just so new people know that haven't ordered from them you can still order. I emailed Brad and asked him about it. It might not be to much longer, but as of now you still can. He did say they are going to switch to the new plan but haven't yet. Only posting because a lot of posts lately were being pushed to not order, and I wanted them people to get a shot at a good product.

I must have missed something. I've been busy lately and haven't been on here much though. What's going on? Are they going to stop selling directly to customers and just supply retailers or something?

I hope they're still going to be in business. Before I started casting my own, I shot their bullets through my .45 Colt. Great product at a great price, and shipping so fast it was just crazy.

The FEDEX truck just left not 1 hour ago. Left 1500 bullets, been ordered about two weeks. Even used the coupon from "The Blue Press".

I had not read the March thread.

Maybe they changed their mind.

Yes I was making this post to re ply to that thread, it was a little off so people are still telling guys they can't order direct to them. You still can. Someday you might not be able to but not as of now. Order as you wish. It's just takin a little longer. I ordered 4k of bullets and it took a little while, but no big deal. I am trying to stock up for 5 years worth.

It's been 4 weeks since I ordered mine but they've been shipped. Should be here tomorrow or Monday.
I think my postman hates me. 2K here, 2K there, and it starts to add up.

Kind of funny. My 1500 came in one of those "if it fits, it ships" boxes from the Post Office. Little box crammed with lead. Somebody wrote "HEAVY" on the box with a red magic marker. A person gets their money's worth in these boxes shipping bullets.

Probably a lot of curious postal workers wondering what the heck is in that box.

I've been waiting for several weeks for an order which is highly unusual...now I know why...

Yes I talked to Jo Ann a while ago when ordering some bullets. They are getting backlogged with orders.:) That is good and at the same time bad. I was in business myself for a while and do know they really need to take a breather every so often or it becomes a chore and no longer fun. This was supposed to be a retirement endeavor for them and it looks like 80 hours a week for everybody working there.:banghead: I for one do not want to see Brad and company burn out and stop making the wonderful products they do. I am always willing to wait a bit extra for them to arrive if need be. So we were just spoiled by a great business model with excellent customer service and we need to adjust our expectations to current market conditions.
Thanks Brad for All you do.:)

I ordered 1,000 bullets about 3 weeks ago (I think).
Got 'em about a week & a half ago.

Same perfect bullets & even found another application for 'em.
I hope I'm one of those grandfathered in, when they go wholesale.

I ordered 12,000 and we are still short 2,000 of something. I have about 20,000 MBC bullets on the floor right now.

They work great and I like their service approaches.

There are some of us here who will buy in quantities that rival some of the smaller wholesalers.:D As said above if you plan ahead then a wait is not ever a problem when wanting the quality.

Samari Jack,
I am one of those mailman that gets to deliver those boxes. You know right away what they are. Not a bad price for how heavy it is. I wish I could sample all of the bullets that come my way. Just kidding.

The trick is to not wait until you need 'em to order 'em.

I ordered 3000 9mm and 2000 .45 bullets a month ago. The 9mm showed up in about a week, the .45 in about 10 more days. But that was fine--I have a lot of ammo produced, and more bullets just waiting.

I looked into casting my own, but when I can get 9mm bullets for under 6 cents, and .45 bullets for under 8 cents, it's just really hard to justify buying all that equipment and paying for the lead--to say nothing of the time I'd have to spend.

I have a question that I have yet to get a reply from them on and maybe some of you can help. Will the 9mm 125gr cone or swc work well in a 357 sig? My concern is with the surface area and neck tension. I am holding on a sizable order so I can get some target bullets for the sig.

I totally agree.

Even though I'm not hurting at all for bullets, I went ahead and ordered 2000 of the 140-grain .357's this morning since it appears the days of ordering direct from them are numbered. Besides, it'll be fun to shoot non-jacketed bullets for the first time!

When it comes to reloading, you cannot have too many ammunition components in stock IMO.

The way I understood the post Brad made on facebook, they won't be taking on any NEW customers for direct ordering. Those that have already ordered direct will be "grandfathered" in and can continue to order direct. I hope that's correct. I've tried a few other companies, but (IMO) MBC has the best selection and quality for the price.

Having previously been in business for myself I completely understand the spot MBC finds themselves in.

A small business will kill you if you let it. It sounds like Brad figured that out.

I've never shot MBC boolits but the word has always been they are great! I wish nothing but success and some peace to Brad, Jo Ann and crew.

Just as a comment. Today I loaded up over 1500 of the MBC bullets I ordered. They go quick when you are just cranking away on the press. If I get some more free time this week I will load up another 3 to 4000 rounds by next weekend.

My worry is that my 12,000 bullets I ordered may not last me until June at this rate.

Missouri Bullet's website is showing "3 weeks" for wait time on all their bullets and Brad explains why on their facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/missouribullet?filter=1

Most reloaders I know are stocking up on reloading components with their tax refunds (I am and I've been stocking up the past 2 years ;)). Whether we like it or not, there seems to be a run on reloading components again. Both Powder Valley and Graf & Sons showing "out of stock" for most of MBC bullets and Brad's probably working at break-neck pace to restock them, just to be sold out and restart the cycle. Looks like for now, "grandfathered" MBC customers will be able to order/get their bullets, just not in 2-3 days we are used to. :D

Missouri Bullet Company - March 16:
... every bullet we have is marked "back-ordered." That doesn't mean that we don't have any. We just can't guarantee that we do. At the moment, we have 4 of the 5 nine millimeters that we make on the shelf, for example. Please understand that at any given moment we have maybe 75k bullets on the shelf and another 300-400k on the shop floor ready for sizing. We just don't have all of the 70 different bullets we make on the shelf at the same time.

Missouri Bullet Company - April 8:
3 weeks is usually worst-case. That's why we quote it. It's the multi-SKU orders that take the longest - 4 boxes of all different bullets. We might have 3 of them but have just sold the last of the 4th one, so we just have to wait until that one is made again. Meanwhile, my wife will ship some or all of the 3 that we had when the order arrived. A logistical nightmare.

Missouri Bullet Company - March 16:
Here it is the 16th of March and we've taken 412 orders so far this month, having shipped 720,000 bullets already. But we're still outstanding on 160 retail orders, plus a million or so bullets for the wholesale trade. We could get more shipped, but the post office truck comes before we can finish every day. Progress towards getting caught up is slow but it is happening. It's not just us, please realize - the industry as a whole is experiencing demand stress like never before. Something must be in the air.

Missouri Bullet Company - March 18:
Another Sunday gone, along with another ton of alloy ... We are slowly catching up with the backlog but it is tough with demand being the way it is. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing whack-a-mole - make them and they're gone and then we're out again and it's time to make them again.

Missouri Bullet Company - March 20:
Huge orders from both Graf and Sons and CAC (Edensburg, PA) this morning. There go another 360,000 bullets!

Success can be a two-edged sword. I'm just glad Brad will still accept orders from individual reloaders.
4 weeks and a day but I got my bullets!
