OK, so last summer at a machine gun shoot i had a look at a particular ar style pistol. it had a permanently attached mag on it that you loaded with stripper clips, i think. any clue on what it is?? im aware of the oa-98, the "illuminator" as well as the carbon 15, it isnt any of those and i cant find it on the net.

while im on it, what other manufacturers make a pistol like this? im looking for examples of pistols with the mags in front of the trigger guard instead of in the grip. any help would be great.

What you saw was probably an OA 96, it was the first Oly Arms AR-style pistol released after the AW ban.

Understandably, it flopped (who the heck wants an AR with a fixed magazine?)

A couple of years later they released the OA 98, which looks like the result of a one-night stand between an AR pistol and a piece of Swiss Cheese.
