SP2022 and XD Interchangeability?

I saw somewhere the other day that a Sig SP2022 can fit in an XD holster. I'm on the lookout for an inexpensive OWB holster for my SP2022 and if this were true it would open up my options greatly. Has anyone had any experience with the two working in the same holsters?
