XDS!

Here in St Louis, LGS has a test drive promotion. For $10, I got to rent the XDS, a target, 20 rounds, and a t-shirt. SWEET! This 57 year old retired construction worker with arthritis in his hands, found the XDS to be exciting indeed. I've only been shooting center-fire pistols since July, but, I found the XDS living up to the hype. The recoil was very manageable, & the accuracy excellent for me. I had a XD 9 and wasn't really happy with it; I was getting better accuracy with my SR9c. Now, I am going to save up for the XDS- and move up to .45. I thought I would never consider getting a .45, but the recoil didn't seem any greater than my LCP.

It's an interesting gun, a might pricey, but very compact for a .45. I rather prefer 9mm for pocket carry, though. Not much difference in ballistics and carries a lot more firepower. For those stuck on .45, this seems to be pocketable, which is amazing for a .45.

Glad to hear a positive review from a real person who's actually shot one!
In your short time with it did you get to slip it in your pocket? How pocket-able do you think it'll be in the real world.

At the NRA convention today I got my hands on one too. It is VERY pocketable, bigger than the p938, but smaller than the new S&W single stack. Headed to the range the OP went to tomorrow to test it out!

If I can find one in June it will be Happy Birthday to me...I have been waiting for my birthday to take my carry class as they expire on your Bday and I will get my whole darn 5 years before I have to give the govt more money for something that should be a right

They started wwith the hardest cal to make in a true compact and are going to expand into .40 and 9mm is my understanding..I like opening BIG holes
