We had the qualifier last night at IDPA....I made SS by almost 20 seconds....for some reason I can never tell how good or bad I'm doing while we're actually shooting though.....I new I had to do the 1st 2 stages quick because the last stage is a killer......now my next goal is expert.....I'd need to improve 15 seconds for that one!!!It will probably be a while for that.....anyway,for now I'm happy with SS......SSP(Glock 17):cool:

The fact that I almost never miss a week of IDPA..and using the glock,with no safeties and the gun is 100% reliable....after our match last month which I took 2nd place,I decided to push myself a little harder...I always believed and still do,that accuracy should come first,then work on speed....I still need work on my reloads,especially the Tactical,I have arthritis and holding 2 mags at once is hard....I just need to practice at home more....I'm not super fast ,but usually have few points down....some nights seem to go better than other for me too....I was in the "zone" on sunday night I guess......
I'm thinking of getting a Glock 26 for CCW AND using it at IDPA...I never carry my G17....but I shoot it the most...my SP101(CCW) I shoot the least,and this should be the opposite I think.....that's why I'm thinking about the 26......:cool:

Moving up came back to haunt me this sunday...
We had a man on man stage...kind of like the steel chalange thing where you shoot at the same time as someone else in your class....well I ended up shooting against the best shooter we have!!He's SS,but in reality is probably expert.....so the pressure was on...I got creamed..but I really liked the stage and hope we end up doing more of them.
So my new goal is to shoot as fast and accurate as this guy who I shot against....maybe some day...:uhoh:

Congratulations!! I'm glad that you're having fun and doing well at IDPA.

I make Marksman in SSR last December. My goal was to move up from novice however I think that I could have done better on the classifier. I think that SharpShooter is definitely reachable.

Hey, good for you! I know how good that feels, as I just moved up myself last month in CDP. Almost made it in SSP this month, missed by 5 points.
